The East Kent Sustainable Farming Group, facilitated by Debbie from KSCP, ran ‘ Cultivation beyond the Cab’ this week.

A workshop for farm staff looked at farming practices from the front line. Discussions were had about the importance of good management of field margins, cover crops, hedges and soil to the food system, and to the importance water quality and natural flood management to the ecosystem.

Kent farmers and their staff work hard to do the best job they can for the land and their livestock. EKSFG, is one of many cluster groups that aim to facilitate farmer led learning. This is to ensure the farming industry is at the forefront of the climate crisis.
