Our annual visit to Anvil Green Farm to coppice the hazel hedge is always a highlight of our winter. The weather seems to be perfect every time – bright, clear blue skies over the Kent Downs. We take away hazel faggots – bundles of brushwood perfect for our river restoration work in summer. No Dormouse sightings this year, but a very enjoyable day nevertherless.
