Clowes Wood new access
The KSCP has been aware for sometime that some of the
Public Rights of Way in Clowes Wood, Chestfield have not been accessible.
With funding from Brett Environment Trust and Interreg and help from KCC,
Forest Enterprise, and Canterbury Ramblers the Rights of Way are being
opened up and some are being managed with wildlife in mind. Some rides
(tracks used to extract timber) will have graded habitat edges,
progressing from grassy/heathy strips, through to bramble, to shrubs to
tall trees.
