Background: Originally from Batley in Yorkshire, studied in London before moving to Kent. First job in conservation with BTCV in London. Worked as Countryside Ranger and Community Woodland Officer before joining the KSCP when it first started in 1992.
Interests:
Sports - tennis, squash, football (supports Leeds Utd),; allotment, music, cinema, travel, photography.

Job title: Countryside Officer, Canterbury and Lower Stour

 

Qualifications: BA(Hons) Sociology & Creative Writing; Postgraduate Diploma Countryside Management.
Background
: Proud to be an Essex girl! Worked for BTCV as part of the Thames Chase Community Forest team in Upminster before setting up as a freelance consultant. Travelled to the Arctic in 2003 and spent six months working in a school before returning to England . For last 4 years worked for the RSPB as a Community Officer on the North Kent Marshes. In addition to working for KSCP, Carol runs wildlife trips with her company Little Owl Tours.
Interests: Writing, horseriding, dancing, travelling

 

 
  Name: Debbie Adams
Job title: Countryside Officer, Ashford
CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE

  Qualifications:BSc (Hons) Landscape Management
Background:Born in Kent. Lived in the Ashford district before moving to Hadlow near Tonbridge to study a University of Greenwich Degree course at Hadlow College. Worked as a British wildlife keeper before becoming a Countryside Ranger at Bewl Water. Then moved on to East Sussex to work part-time on a mixed farm, during which time trained as a Farm Environment Advisor for a farm consultancy company.
Interests:Wildflowers, walking, animals, farming, photography, music and relaxing in a country pub with a roaring log fire.
 
   
  Name: Mark Hudson
Job title: Countryside Officer, Ashford
JOB SHARE, MATERNITY LEAVE COVER
  Qualifications:Bsc Hons Crop Science, HND Rural Resources Management.
Background:Wide and varied employment from chef to Royal Navy steward to farm labourer. Mark has worked in Africa, Canada, and Northern Europe. When not working for KSCP runs own business in estate management and garden maintenance. Lots of experience in countryside work specialising in hedgelaying and coppicing/felling. Also a volunteer with local Community Farm.
Interests:
Travelling, slow motorbike, rural crafts, books, hill walking, photography and bushcraft.
 
  Name: Diane Comley
Job title: Project Officer
  Qualifications:BSc Landscape Management, BA Fine Art (photography)
Background:Originally from Wakefield, have also spent many years living in Glasgow and Montreal Canada, before moving to Kent in 1995. I studied Landscape Management at Hadlow College and originally worked as a volunteer with KSCP to gain practical conservation experience. Going on to work with the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as a Living Landscapes Co-ordinator.
Interests:Music (singer in a ska band), photography, walking, woodland fungi and pub lunches

Born to a happy (though perhaps momentary) relationship between a Pointer & a Pyranean Mountain Dog, somewhere near Teynham, Kent.
Experience: 10 months spent in Larkey Valley Woods near Canterbury.
Special skills: Springs to 6 feet at mention of walk.

Morgan

Experience: From Yorkshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Mull, worked on the boats at Bewl Water, been on the London underground and spent more hours than he cares to remember in tractors.
Interests: Tennis balls, tennis balls, tennis balls.
