Xmas Hedge Planting at Godinton Park
For the past couple of weeks the Wednesday group of volunteers of the
Kentish Stour Countryside Project have been re-instating two hedges on the
Godinton Estate.
Harri Goldsmith said "it is a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding
experience for each of us as we all go home refreshed and invigorated by a
days work outside".
The hardy volunteers come out week after week throughout the year come
rain or shine to do a variety of different tasks to help the environment.
"Not many people can say that they have had their christmas party
in a field with sheep surrounded by mist".
The volunteers also had the help of the probation service to plant 400
metres of hedgerow.
"Thanks to all of the volunteers who come out every week for their
hard work".
