Crafting
Animals the Natural Way
Locally sourced wood was used to create individual art pieces at a free
woodland art and craft event at the Charing Alderbed.
Talented wood craftsman Martin Brockman guided a group of budding
artists through the process of creating an animal of their choice using
pieces of wood. Encouraging groups
to form art out of locally sourced products not only stretches the
imagination but supports local woodland management that in turn creates
thriving habitats for our wildlife. Debbie Adams, countryside officer for
Ashford says that, “Events such as these are very inspiring and promote
a healthy enjoyment of the environment for everybody”.
