The KSCP works closely with Parish Councils and other community groups.

Local communities often come to the KSCP for advice on projects, such as managing areas of land in community ownership, for recreation and education. Such areas can become sensory gardens, wildlife areas or community green spaces. The KSCP advise them and co-ordinate practical work where necessary.

Project staff work with schools, on enhancing their school grounds for environmental education, and other projects. They also get involved with youth centres, scouts and guides, and further education establishments.

By getting people involved in traditional practical management and increasing awareness of local products, the Project is helping to revive the link between the people and countryside of the Stour Valley.
