Canterbury Conservation Volunteers

THERE WILL BE NO MORE SUNDAY TASKS, DUE TO POOR ATTENDANCE, AS EXPLAINED BELOW BY MATT HAYES, CANTERBURY COUNTRYSIDE OFFICER.

As many of you may know the attendance of the Sunday tasks has been quite low recently and as such, it has been decided to stop running volunteer tasks on Sundays. This is obviously a great shame as it was nice to be able to include people who work during the week in the project, through the weekend tasks. However planning, organising and running of the tasks takes considerable time, which is wasted if nobody turns up.

On behalf of the project I would like to thank everyone who has attended and helped with the Sunday tasks in the past, your hard work has been greatly appreciated. If there is a large amount of interest in a weekend task in the future it may be possible to re-start them.

I will continue to send the details of task programmes to people, if you would like to be removed from the email list contact us.

Many thanks

Matt Hayes
