  Boughton Aluph Churchyard

The KSCP organised a small grant in 1994, through a scheme called Rural Action, towards the management of this churchyard. It also helped with management in 1995, 1997 and 2001.

Rural churchyards are often one of the few places in parishes that are rich in wild flowers. This is because they have not been fertilised or treated with chemicals.

As part of the regular maintenance of the wildlife area in the church yard the KSCP volunteers cut the hay and raked up the cuttings in 2001. Some additional hedge plants were used to gap up the perimeter church hedge.

Sunken seat on North Downs Way

The Stour Valley Arts Project commissioned this seat by Tim Norris in 1995. KSCP volunteers helped to dig out a chalk bank so that chestnut poles could be placed for back support.
