ASHFORD ON FOOT LEAFLETS

Guides to exploring Ashford's local countryside on foot.

Two full colour leaflets produced to help local people and visitors explore the countryside around Ashford, and its urban green spaces which are used as links to rural areas. The leaflets are easy to use and encourage people to get out into the countryside without using their cars.

No. 1 - Walks for all the family

Leaflet features six walks starting in the centre of Ashford, with maps and lots of information about what to see on the way. Areas covered include: Conningbrook Lake, the Warren, Victoria Park, Godinton Park, Singleton lake, Great Chart, South Willesborough Dykes and Sevington.

No. 2 - Longer walks for all the family

The walks in this leaflet are based around a long 'orbital' route that goes right round Ashford. It takes in areas such as Wye, Boughton Lees, Eastwell Park, Westwell, Hothfield, Chilmington, Kingsnorth, Mersham, Hinxhill, and passes features of interest including Wye Crown, Eastwell lake, Hothfield Common, Captain's Wood and several churches and pubs.

Shorter routes can be planned from the centre of Ashford using the link paths through the Ashford Green Corridors. Leaflet features large map, and pictures and information about what to see on the way.
